What HVAC coverage includes
Both the Platinum and Platinum Premier plans cover your central air conditioning and central heating system, including the components that most often fail: compressors, condensers, blower motors, heat exchangers, thermostats, ignition systems, capacitors and ductwork.
If the unit can be repaired, we repair it. If it can't, the plan covers replacement up to the coverage limit. You pay one flat service fee per claim.
What HVAC repairs cost without a plan
- AC compressor replacement: $1,500 to $2,800
- Furnace blower motor: $400 to $1,500
- Heat exchanger: $1,500 to $3,500 (often means full replacement)
- Full furnace replacement: $3,000 to $8,000
- Full central AC replacement: $3,500 to $7,500
Most heating and cooling systems last 15 to 20 years. If yours is past ten, a breakdown is a matter of when, not if.
